About the Position

Broadway Comedy Club is looking for a motivated, attentive, and highly organized manager to join our team. This is a hands-on position that requires someone who takes ownership, communicates exceptionally well, and understands the importance of staying on top of the many moving parts of a busy NYC entertainment venue.

The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This person must be able to work closely with ownership, staff, vendors, performers, and guests while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily club operations and ensure the venue is running efficiently
  • Work closely with ownership on day-to-day operations, priorities, and special projects
  • Maintain excellent communication with ownership and promptly communicate important issues, updates, and concerns
  • Respond to emails and inquiries promptly and professionally
  • Monitor and follow up on tasks to ensure nothing falls through the cracks
  • Assist with staff management, scheduling, and accountability
  • Help ensure exceptional customer service and a positive guest experience
  • Coordinate with performers, vendors, event clients, and outside partners
  • Assist with events, private parties, and special programming
  • Help maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and overall standards of the club
  • Monitor inventory and operational needs
  • Address problems quickly and professionally as they arise
  • Assist with administrative and organizational responsibilities
  • Be proactive in identifying areas that need attention rather than waiting to be asked
  • Maintain a strong presence throughout the club and ensure staff are meeting expectations
  • Support ownership with projects and initiatives designed to improve the club's operations and profitability

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience in management, hospitality, entertainment, events, restaurant/nightlife operations, or a related field
  • College degree preferred; degree or equivalent professional experience will be considered
  • Comedy Club experience is a major plus!!
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Extremely attentive to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
  • Strong follow-through and accountability
  • Ability to respond to emails and communications promptly
  • Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and sometimes unpredictable environment
  • Proficient with email, scheduling systems, Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, and other basic computer programs
  • Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
  • Hospitality or entertainment industry experience is a plus

The Right Candidate

We are looking for someone who takes initiative and genuinely cares about the success of the club . This is not a position for someone who simply completes assigned tasks. The right person will notice what needs to be done, communicate effectively, and take ownership of their responsibilities.

You must have a thick skin and be able to handle constructive criticism, changing priorities, stressful situations, and the fast-paced nature of a NYC entertainment venue while remaining professional.

Most importantly, you must be comfortable communicating directly and frequently with ownership . Open, honest, timely communication is extremely important to this position.

If you are someone who is organized, proactive, hardworking, and excited to be part of building and growing a successful NYC comedy club, we would love to hear from you.
